Dakpa house has extremely clean rooms with hot water and amenities available
throughout the hour. Friendly host and tasty food. Curd especially was worth mentioning and home
grown apples were also provided. Fruits provided for breakfast was another highlight.

Dakpa House fulfills it’s intention to be a lovely and calming escape from the
noise and busyness of Leh. The proprietors also own Mero Expeditions in the city and helped me plan
my travels all around Ladakh.
This unique, small hotel is beautifully furnished with good food and kind, attentive staff. The
views from my balcony of the flower and vegetable gardens below and the sunset above are memorable.
And remember to get directions to the River Indus very nearby - to spend some quiet time on a grassy
bank enjoying the flow of the beloved waterway.

We loved our stay at Dakpa house!
The staff was extremely kind, communicative and accomodating, and advised us regarding different
traveling options and things to do in the area.
The food was so good, varied, plentiful, made with much care and with the best, freshest local
ingredients. It was really a pleasure.
The room and the shared public space (library/living room) were very cozy and the atmosphere in
general was quiet and relaxing, with a nice view of the everchanging mountains out the window.

At the end of our motorcycle trip through the Himalayas, we had wonderfully
relaxing days in the beautiful Dakpa House. We felt completely comfortable and had a great time.

Visit Ladakh in summers as it is the best time to explore with all tourist places remaining open. April to May is ideal. But June to September provide a lesser crowd. The list of places to visit in Ladakh are given below.
